Plantar Fasciitis

Its’s a nasty one! It causes Heel and Arch pain, especially first thing in a morning and after being seated. Don’t worry, it’s not like having arthritis, that lasts for ever. It can be treated and you will make a full recovery.

PLANTAR FASCIITIS TREATMENT

How do we treat it? Well that depends on what we find after we have assessed you. We take a fair few measurements and we analyse your feet while you stand and walk – this takes at least half an hour. We also assess your shoes and trainers.

PLANTAR FASCIITIS TREATMENT OPTIONS

Plantar Fasciitis responds well to strapping, orthotics, Shock Wave Therapy and dry needling. Don’t worry, we won’t necessarily do all of the above, not if you don’t need them. Footwear changes might be suggested and one very specific stretch will be demonstrated – which works a treat. (Watch out, there’s a lot of conflicting content on the web and some treatments can create short term relief, but long term irritation). We have a very good handle on this condition and you’d hope so, as we are Sports Podiatrists, but more than that, we also own and operate the Sydney Heel Pain Clinics.
